I have a couple of Oprah's book club selections, icluding "East of Eden" and "A New Earth". I also have "Tar Baby" and "The Bluest Eye" by Toni Morrison, and I'm currently reading "Julie & Julia". But my two favorites are "Song of Solomon" also by Toni Morrison (the greatest novel ever written), and my second fave "Silk" by Alessandro Barrico, which I recommend to anyone who doesn't like reading, because it's short and sweet, yet very very full.
Love your shelf now you are making me want to add things to my pile. I have too much already. Lots of romance novels. For style Nina Garcia's book. I also want to read Prospect Park West, The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo, The Help the list goes on and on.
I have the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, LA Candy by Lauren Conrad, Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, Cook with Jamie Oliver, The Shackled Continent by Robert Guest, Goodnight Lady and Faceless by Martina Cole and Selected Tales by Edgar Allan Poe.
I've got Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie. It was hard going initially, but I'm really into it now! I also have Drinking Coffee Elsewhere by ZZ Packer, which I like to dip into now and then.
My current wishlist is Chimamanda N Adichie's last one, and the entire John Irving back catalogue - I've read a couple of his, and my appetite is well and truly whetted.
Lately I've been busy reading anything that catches my eye, but mostly I've been reading books based on entrepreneurship: "The Dream" by Gurbaksh Chahal, "The Trump Card" by Ivanka Trump, and I'm looking forward to purchasing the newest book on fashion designer, Christian Dior.
